Amazing experience that I will never forget! Score: Recommend: YES from Los Angeles
This tour was amazing, and our guide Luis Castillo was very knowledgeable (it exceed my expectations). The outdoor activities were great, but the best part was the cultural component. I would recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys outdoor activities and who is passionate about cultures. Score: Recommend: YES from San Francisco, CA
The tour was great and our guide very nice. I loved all the activities. Coba site was beautiful but it needs more info or otherwise it is just to climb a pyramid Score: Recommend: YES from
Pepe was an amazing tour guide. We had such a blast!!! If I ever go back to Cancun I would definitely do this tour again, as long as it is with Pepe!! Score: Recommend: YES from Alabama, USA
We had a wonderful day! Cesar was an excellent tour guide. This is the second time my husband and I have taken the tour. This year, we brought our family and enjoyed it just as much as the first time. Score: Recommend: YES from Winnemucca, NV
Our guide was Israel was so knowledgeable and made me feel at ease when I was a little worried for the rappelling. We had so much fun during this tour but also learned some history. 10 out of 10. Score: Recommend: YES from Mission, texas
I loved this tour, because it has multiple parts. It has an action part with zip lining, rappeling, canoeing, swiming in a cenote, etc. Then it has an cultural part with visiting a Maya village and and Maya ceremony. Then visiting Coba, a big ancient Maya city. (Rent a bike there otherwise it's not doable) but you will love the view from the big pyramid! Yeah and then have a Mexican lunch. Very delicious. Only the price of the pics are expensive... all other is great! Score: Recommend: YES from Cologne, Germany
Our tour was great, fun, adventurous. Gustavo was excellent. Will diff have to do again when in the area!! A Must do Score: Recommend: YES from kentucky
Euri was fantastic! She was so energetic and really made the day for us. We started out by going to Coba (We walked instead of biking/limo and got to see the sights more). Climbing Coba was an unforgettable experience and great views! Then we went rappelling, ziplining, canoeing before ziplining back down to jump in a cenote. We finished off the day with a Mayan ritual and traditional Mayan lunch. Overall we had a great time and would do it again! Our only regret is that we didn't schedule another tour while we were in Mexico. Highly recommend Euri and Cancun Adventure!! Score: Recommend: YES from Bedminster, NJ
Our guide Erik was Excellent - not enough time in cenote - and cenote should have been done AFTER Coba - too hot in afternoon for Coba...was quite rushed - -but guide was awesome Score: Recommend: YES from Canada
Israel was a great tour guide Score: Recommend: YES from DC
Great day! Jhoney was a great guide. Very friendly and informative. We loved the cenotes the most but all was fantastic! Score: Recommend: YES from Chicago,Il
This tour was fantastic and the perfect combination of adventure, exploration, and education. I learned so much from Josue, who is knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and helpful. I felt very safe on the zip line and rappel. The cleansing ceremony was beautiful. The food was AMAZING! THANK YOU for a wonderful time :-) Score: Recommend: YES from New York, NY
Not enough time at Coba. By the time the tour guide let us go explore, there was only 90 minutes until we needed to be back at the bus. Not enough time to see the whole site. Would have liked even an extra 30-45 minutes there. Also, Coba was HOT! Would have been great to do the cenote swim after the pyramids to cool off. Very comfortable bus, fantastic driver/guide. Fun activities! Score: Recommend: YES from San Francisco Bay Area, CA
Awesome tour, a total must do. My 10 & 11 year old loved it sooo much! Score: Recommend: YES from Milan NM
Jonathan ("JJ") was an excellent guide--knowledgeable about history and local culture, as well as experienced with the adventure activities, and enthusiastic as well. The small-group environment (only 9 on our tour) was great. The meal prepared by the Mayan ladies was delicious. The technical guys who helped us get into the rappelling and other gear seemed very confident and well-trained, and the equipment was in excellent condition. The highlight of the tour for me was swimming in the underground cenote, with the Mayan welcome and blessing that preceded it. I felt that the cenote must have been a holy place for the Mayans, and it was an honor to be allowed into it. We did a lot of activities but it did not feel rushed, the pace was perfect. Eduardo made the tour much more enjoyable with his uplifting spirit and constant jokes. It really does make a world of difference. Score: Recommend: YES from Long Island, New York

Had a wonderful trip. The tour guided JJ was fantastic. I learned a lot about Mayan culture and the temples. I enjoyed the adventurous activities (zipline, repelling, kayaking). I enjoyed eating the tradition Mayan lunch. I definitely glad to see, learn, and walk to the top of the Coba temple. Score: Recommend: YES from Annapolis, MD
Great time--so glad I did this tour instead of the one offered by my resort. We got a lot more activities for a few more dollars. Score: Recommend: YES from Bethesda MD
Great informative tour Score: Recommend: YES from Minneapolis MN
We had a fantsatic time! It was a great adventure to share with our daughters (ages 17 & 12). My 12 year old said this was her favorite activity of the many we did while in Cancun. Score: Recommend: YES from Shawnee, KS
Our second tour with alltournative and it was great. The action parts (zip-lines, rappelling, canoeing, swiming in cenote) were one of the highlights. Climbing on top of Nohoch Mul pyramid in Coba... wow... but next time I would rent a bike in Coba, because the archaeological site is very big. Score: Recommend: YES from Cologne, Germany
I loved everything about this adventure! This met and excited what I expected! Everyone was so nice! ! Score: Recommend: YES from Chicago
Wow is all I can say. Best decision I ever made was booking the maya encounter tour. Everything in it is once in a lifetime. Great tour guide and adventures in it. Climb to the top or the temple!!! DO IT! don't be scared to rappel or zip line! It's such an experience for an awesome price! Could be more pleased Score: Recommend: YES from Ohio, USA
A lot of fun! Definitely worth the price. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and very funny! Repelling into the cenote was incredible! Score: Recommend: YES from Boynton beach, fl

Awesome tour run by Altournatives - canoeing, zip lining, rappelling into a cenote, amazing lunch at a Mayan village, followed by a tour of Coba. Awesome staff/guide. Would highly recommend. Small groups (was only 5 in ours). Was the best day of our holiday. Score: Recommend: YES from Brighton, UK
It would have been fun to have the option to rappel more than once and to kayak a bit more. Both those activities were too short. Our guide was amazing and informative. Score: Recommend: YES from North Dakota
We enjoyed our small group and guide Lily - felt like family by the end of the adventure. Would highly recommend the tour to anyone visiting the area. Score: Recommend: YES from Cleveland, Ohio
