If you are looking for perfect combo, then this is it. The trip covers tour to chichen itza and swim at the Ik Kil Cenote. The buffet was perfect and had varieties to choose from whether you are vegetarian or not.The tour guide was excellent and knowledgable about history of yucatan. The only thing i dont like is that the bus made unecessary long stops at the Xcaret meeting point and at the silver village. should have spent more time at the last stop, valladolid village.

We were picked up at our hotel as planned. Driven to another location where we boarded our bus for the day. Found out here that our tour didn't include light breakfast as tour info stated. You should eat something before or bring snacks as lunch is not until 3pm. Ride to Xichen Itza is 2 hours with an additional 45 min stop over at a souvenir shop. Once we got to the ruins the guides gave an excellent 2 hour tour explaining history along the way. After this, we went to the cenote for a much desired swim and lunch. The buffet was excellent. Many choices of local entrees' and fresh fruits. 1-1/2 was just barely enough time here to swim & eat. Don't dawdle. We got back to our hotel around 8:30pm. Makes for a long day but well worth it. Highly recommend this tour. Only complaint was lack of leg room on bus. If your over 6 feet, your not going to be happy. (Maybe aisle seat with legs in the aisle.)

I would like to have had more time at Ik Kil. I understand we had about a little over an hour and 15 minutes to stay there but it felt rushed. Especially having to wait in line for lockers, change and some time for photos. There should be an option for those who wants to stay at Ik Kil longer and skip out on the shopping part at Chichen Itza. Food was good but when we got there, the fruits buffet barely had more than 10 pieces of cantaloupe/watermelon.

This was a really good trip. The guides were very good and told us a lot about the Mayan culture so we could appreciate what we were about to see at Chichen Itza. They made sure we had an informed tour and left lots of time for us to walk around the ruins ourselves. Ik Kil was also so amazing. Again, we had plenty of time to enjoy the cenote, and it was a special thing to do. A great tour and would definitely recommend.

Our tour guide, Tomas, was excellent--he made the day interesting and educational. We were lucky to have him give us the English-speaking tour of Xichen Itza! My only suggestion is that instead of 1.5 hours to swim and eat, you get 2 hours to swim and eat and only 2 hours at Xichen Itza. We did not need or want the extra hour of free-time at Xichen Itza because it was too hot, but we would have loved additional time at Ik Kil.

Tour was great with two exceptions. Having to switch buses took a very long and frustrating time since we didn't expect it. We didn't have enough time at Chichen Itza and the time spent changing buses could have been spent doing what we paid for seeing the site. Guides were intelligent, funny, and seemed to enjoy their day with us (which is not always the case on tours). Great variety of experiences, but wished for more time doing seeing the ancient area since that was what we were really paying for.

This is a great experience! Keep in mind that it is a very long tour. We stayed at Barcelo Maya Beach, and it took about 2 hours to get there and 2 hours to get back. It is a very long day. Also, there is A LOT of time spent at chichen itza (about 2.5 hours) which is unnecessary and tiring. Otherwise, Ik-Kil is stunning and the buffet there is great! My advice is to get in the cenote as soon as you get there because you don't get much time. Last, you do make an initial stop at a little Mayan village, so bring some money for gifts. This part was overall my least favorite and hoping they will remove it from the list of things to do, because it's already a long trip.

For only about 2 hours at Chitchen Itza, the excursion duration of over 12 hours was unreasonably padded out in order to allow the operators to combine guests from many locations onto multiple tours. In particular, wasting over an hour in a high-pressure sales effort to sell guests a Mayan anniversary certificate for - wait for it - US$25 was abuse of these paying guests. Chitchen was fascinating, and the tour guide knowledgeable and helpful: but overall much of the day was wasted.

Due to a few guests late return to the bus at our stop at the denote Ikil (about 30-40 minutes), plus our delayed departure from Cancun(we were put on the second bus, and the bus departed about 20 minutes late then the first bus for the reason that we did not know), our tour of the highlight of today's trip, the Chichen Itza was rather short. We had to rush to finish the tour at Chichen Itza to get back to the bus on time. I really hope we could spend more time at the Chichen Itza. The tour guide was great. However I hope he could do something when those guests could not return to the bus on time. Waiting for them for half an hour was too much.

The cenote (ik kil) was absolutely beautiful. Swimming in there with the cat-fish was great. The view was fantastic. But on the way to the cenote, we stopped for shopping. But I didn't like that place. The articles they sold were not so good, the prices were too high and we stayed there for too long. I would have skipped that stop entirely to be able to spend more time at Chichen Itza. We ate lunch at the same place than the cenote. The buffet was okay, but nothing more. After the cenote, we went to Chichen Itza. The narration the guide gave was good, it was interesting to learn about the story of the mayans. I wish he would have given us some time to take pictures though. He said we would have plenty of time after the tour to take pictures, but the alone time was quite short and I had to rush to take pictures and buy some souvenirs. The souvenirs at Chichen Itza were pretty good, and the prices too. But there are a lot of vendors, you can easily lose a lot of time just refusing to see their shops, since they're quite insisting. The infos the guide gave was interesting, but my boyfriend did a Chichen Itza tour with another company, and he came back with so much more information and knowledge than me, I now feel our tour could have been more complete with a bit more research. Also, the guide talked a lot in spanish during the bus ride, and then translated in english, but sometimes missed a few sentences in the translation. And I have to admit it's annoying to hear a few sentences in spanish, then a few in english, and so on. You have to be constantly listening, because you never know when he will switch languages and you could miss something. I think it could have been more simple to just say everything in spanish, then everything in english. In conclusion, the tour was pretty good. I would have skipped the shopping time to spend more time at Chichen Itza, and there could be some amelioration on the guide part, but it was still pretty great and I had a very good day.

Everything was great. Our tour guy was hilarious. The only thing I have to complain about was there was too much time at the Chichen Itza and not enough time at the Blue Cenote. The food at the Ik Kil restaurant was okay Nothing special. The price was good for the whole day.

This was the highlight of my trip to the Yucatan. Our guide was Mayan and he was so informative about this area. I have since come home and studied further about these people. His name was Irving. I wish he could receive an award for the devotion he shows to this work. I was very pleased with the entire tour.

My husband and I loved this tour. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and he was fluent in more than 4 languages! Before arriving to Chichen Itza, we had a small pit stop at a marketplace, where we had half an hour to shop for souvenirs. To be honest, I didn't feel this was enough time to look for gifts because this was a relatively huge place that sold many unique things. I felt a bit rushed to buy something, but I was happy with my purchase in the end. I recommend you negotiate the price down, as the prices are marked up really high. We learned many great things about the Mayans, astrology, and their pyramids. This tour was very informative as it was interactive and fun. Next time, I would definitely recommend bringing a hat for sun protection. Also, we had some time to enjoy a quick swim in a nearby cenote. It was beautiful! There were TONS of small catfish swimming next to us, which was fun. The water was refreshing and you can choose to either dive from a platform, or walk in with a small ladder. Wonderful experience!! I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Mexico :)

Our tour guide was amazing. Like an interesting history lesson. I will bring more money next time to buy Christmas gifts from the numerous vendors who line the trails to and from the ruins. What unique jewelry and art. 1/4 the price of U.S. merchandise . . And hand made! I'll definitely go back. Made great family memories. Wish I was there now

Pick up at the hotel was on time. Bus very comfortable. Swimming at Ik Kil was great. The tour at the ruins was phenomenal. Very educational. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, I am a history teacher. Got great photos for my class for this school year. The only thing I would change is try to reverse the order. Tour first due to heat and swim last to cool off. All in all a great tour.

This was a great day out, myself and my wife have enjoyed swimming in Sinking hole, good food in Mexican restaurant and obviously the Chichen Itza. This is an amazing place with lots of history, which you will find out from very friendly tour guide. Also I will recommend to by all souvenirs there on the market as a village people will charge you les than in Cancun shops or market. But make sure you never pay asking price, always give them 40% less or walk away. Believe me it works every time as they always start with double prices. The bus was very comfortable and we had a good journey bout way's. Except my wife, she forgot her iPhone in the bus. But when we contact this company and told them that we forgot phone, they told us that they will look for and when they found they contacted our hotel and dropped off next day. That exactly what happened, my wife was very excited when they returned our phone. I would definitely recommend this company, as this is a great experience and it nice to be around honest people. Once again, BIG thank you for your service.

I read mixed reviews and was a bit skeptical about the tour, not knowing what to expect. After reaching Cancun I saw large colorful luxury "Experiencias Xcaret" tour bus leaving the resort and started to wonder if I booked right! The day of the tour, we waited for our pick up and Boy, were we pleasantly surprised! An "Experiencias Xcaret" luxury coach pulls up and the gentleman read out my family's name. That was the start to a great day. The tour operation in Cancun is a marvel in logistics. Tourists are brought toegther to a transit place from across the city, tagged and asked to board the appropriate tour bus. Marvelous management. And then the tour itself was very pleasant. We had Victor as our tour guide and he spoke good English and kept us engaged through the day. The arrangements were very good, with a good lunch at the cenote. Day was long, but the tour operators provided a superlative experience! Guys, it was well worth it. Thanks!
